Charleston. I big puffy hear Charleston and when Sam and Colin asked if they could have their engagement session in Charleston, it was all I could do to stop myself from screaming yes over the phone. Charleston is beautiful and quaint and colorful; it is the epitome of southern charm.
Charleston holds a special place to Sam and Colin. They both are alumni from the College of Charleston. When I asked them if there were any locations they wanted to specifically use, they wanted to start in the Cistern. I found out from them that this is where students start and end their college career. The light in this location was gorgeous as it filtered through the spanish moss and through the old brick buildings. I think both Sam and Colin thought I was crazy as I would make them stop what we were doing just because of the gorgeous light.
From the college we headed on down to Rainbow Row and the Battery. Rainbow Row is an iconic location of Charleston and you must see the pastel colored row homes along this street. After ducking into a ivy covered ally, we headed on over the the ocean and the Battery. We were able to finish the evening with some more laughs and smiles as the sun set.
I think this is honestly my favorite engagement session to date but I might be a little biased because of my love for this city.
Thank you again Sam and Colin for trusting me to be your wedding photographer. It was really so wonderful and fun to work with you. I absolutely cannot wait to photograph your wedding in November!
